HIV awareness. flatlineeeee
made this in paint for a contest.

get yourself tested.
health first, kids.

This was my first attempt at text art. I have problems with the quality of this (because it was done in MS Paint and I really should have done it in Photoshop) so I'll update it later with better quality.

For some reason it's fuzzy around the text now?! I don't know how the hell that happened, but it happened just after I updated it. GRRRR promise I'll fix that soon

If you're interested, or a passionate HIV/AIDS activist ;), my other pieces for AIDS awareness can be found here:

:new: I won HIV Testing Day Talk the Talk with this :)
and the World Aids Day Awareness Contest :)

:new: omg! a DD! :faint:
Thanks so much guys, really! That means a lot, especially because it brings awareness to such an important issue.

Despite how people say stay away from unprotected sex....what happens if you're a rape victim? What happens when you get it? It's not something you did yourself....It's just pure awful. My best friend....He's 16. He was raped. He's in stage 3....I'm loosing my best friend to this. It was nothing he wanted either.

Sadly I've known people who were infected after being victims of rape too. It's beyond cruel and unforgiving. I'm so so sorry that this happened to your best friend  my absolute wishes and thoughts to him, and for you. I'm so sorry

Oh my god I love it ^^ I hate it when people make jokes about this stuff, because they don't realize how serious it really is >:| I'm probably the only fourteen year old who actually gets huffy over stuff like this >__> Anyway! It's awesome, great job and congrats on the Daily Deviation! :+fav:

Hehe, that's good. I think mainly the reason is because most people don't go around reading things like 'The Natural History of Viruses.' The more educated you are about something, the more passionate you feel about the cause : ]

it was at QCA university (student's exhibition) few years back, it was a print, not on screen, but it would have been made digitally.

This is a truly amazing piece of art. So much hope, education and reality worked into a single image. This should be on the wall of every hospital, clinic, Dr.'s office and so many other places. Well done.

I submitted it to those clubs to raise awareness because AIDS is a disease that can affect anyone, regardless of their sexuality.

AIDS is not and never will be a disease that effects only gays. If you're trying to suggest that by your comment, you're absolutely wrong.

The prevalance of AIDS in the homosexual community is in large part due to the lack of sexual education availabe to people who identify as LGBTI - unprotected sex can be seen as less risky because there's no risk of pregnancy. Schools rarely offer sex ed specifically for LGBTI people, and I believe that has had a huge impact.

I would think any club would be happy to have this submitted regardless of sexuality. If you have any questions, please go ahead. But if you're just intending to be offensive and ignorant, please leave :)

To be honest I have no idea. It's just full of lulz that homosexuals would be more aware of this shit.

maybe that's cause its common belief that homosexuals are more prone to HIV than heterosexuals. but there are as much, if not more, heterosexuals with HIV. Homosexuals are much more prudent. I should know, i got a billion gay friends
