ECT hangs over our heads;
A low threat
A slow soulful death.
E.C.T is still frequently used in psychiatric hospitals, and has a high recovery success rate in depression, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. I've met plently of out-patients who considered it successful for them. I've considered it before, but only as a last resort. The memory loss scares me - it only lasts for a few days, and despite how damaging it used to be, E.C.T is now a lot safer, and you are not awake while it is done. But the idea still scares me, to be unconscious.

I dont even know what ECT is but if it can cure the hallucination and violent mood swings, I'd almost be willing to try it.
